This piece is titled “Evening Sail” and features an undated postcard from the early 1900s.
This postcard belonged to Cora Adams, a young girl who lived in Pennsylvania, whose correspondence dates from 1909 to 1912. Many of the postcards in my series belonged to her. On the back of this card reads a simple message: “Father, from Cora”.
This piece turned out super fun, and I think its style is similar to “Unbridled Love”. Its color palette and watercolor style evokes a 70s vibe. I let myself paint a bit more freely with this piece, and wound up giving the sky a little bit of the Northern Lights.
